Subject: Travel to India
Hi Ian
Just to keep you informed re our conversation on your travel to India. we did
get in touch with the Durjay Sengupta who could assist you with all your travel/tour
arrangements. Durjay has acknowledged our email and said he would be writing
to you immediately, he is extremely prompt with his correspondence, honest and
upfront and think you could rely on him for the right advice and a reasonable
price. If you intend visiting Madhurai, maybe you would like to discuss with
Durjay a trip to Cochin as they have a houseboat which does trips on the river,
also a visit to the Nilgiris (the Blue Mountains of India) it is beautiful!!!
All the Hotels we stayed at were clean and the Service good, infact a couple
had swimming pools also. We stayed at the Holiday Inn in Agra, Hotel Jaipur
Palace in Jaipur and the Centrepoint in Delhi. Travelling to the Places of interest
were no problem as we had a chauffeur driven car 24 hours a day at our disposal.
The driver did speak a little English too, we also had tour guides (who spoke
English always) in Delhi, Agra & Jaipur each one familiar with the history
of the place.
Our suggestion - if you wish to travel between the big cities you could then
use the Train, but for places close to each other like Delhi, Agra, Jaipur,
Udaipur having a Car would be better.
We forgot to mention that we paid him in US Dollars. When we went a couple of
years ago the AUD rate was bad, but the amount Durjay charged was very reasonable,
especially as we had a hassle free holiday.
Durjay Sengupta's email address is
info@ mailto:info@luxury-holidays-india.com. Hope everything work out well,
if you would like to discuss anything with us re India, we are at home for the
next 2 days, back to work on Monday. Sarah's mobile no is 0402 894 211.
Have a great dayl
Cheers
Keith & Sarah
